Freedom is a must-have to stop being distracted on your computer and your phone.

It’s a simple software that you will install on your computer and on your phone to do its magic.

All you have to do is to create a block list with all of the websites that are trying to steal your attention from your work. Like Facebook, news websites, other social media platforms, …

Once you have a block list ready (you can create different lists), you will create sessions for Freedom to run and stop you from visiting these websites (or apps on your phone).

Tab Snooze is a FREE Chrome extension that you are going to use daily!

How many time did you end up with too many tabs open in your browser to remember what you were doing?

It happened to me all the time before using Tab Snooze.

With this extension, you will be able to snooze any tabs you don’t need right away. It will close it and have it reopened at the time you selected: during the day, in the evening, the day after, the coming weekend, next week, a month later, randomly, periodically or on a set time.

I use all of the options, I have a few tabs that are opening weekly for recurring projects, and other tabs I snooze for later because I don’t have time to work on it right away. I also snooze interesting articles that I want to read later at a random date 🙂

Grammarly

Grammarly is the best spelling and grammar checker out here and is FREE.

All you have to do is install the Chrome extension and it will automatically find typos and grammar mistakes for you. It will highlight typos, grammar, punctuation, style, and sentence structure mistakes in red and let you select the correction.

Also, if you double-click on any word, you will be able to see its definition and synonyms!

Grammarly is a must have for anybody who writes online, especially on social media. How often did you type quickly to respond to someone and realized after too late that you forgot a word … Yes, this happens to me all the time.

Gorgias

Gorgias is another free Chrome extension that will make you save a lot of time!

If you send a lot of emails, Gorgias is going to allow you to create shortcuts to easily insert the same paragraph in different emails. You can also create a whole email template to make it faster!

Zapier

Zapier is going to help you automate your recurring tasks for free. You can create your own Zaps or check out their blog for inspiration. It’s really easy to set up and will make you save tons of time!

One of the Zaps helps me to keep my email subscribers in one place. Like a lot of bloggers I first used MailChimp but then people had trouble receiving emails. So I switched to MailerLite that I love! Since a few people had links to my previous freebie page I didn’t want to take the risk to have forgotten new email subscribers so I created a Zap that adds any new email subscribers on MailChimp to the corresponding mailing list in MailerLite!


CREATE A ZAPIER ACCOUNT

IFTTT

IFTTT is very similar to Zapier but offers different features. I like to browse through the collections to find new ways to simplify my work!

One of the applets I use sends me a notification in the evening when it’s going to rain in Seattle so I know how to dress up. I also have one to automatically add to my buffer queue any articles I like on pocket.

Break Timer

It is recommended to take a break every 50 to 90 minutes to stay focused on your work. But let’s be honest when you are working hard on a project it’s easy to forget to take a break.

The reality is that taking a break will help you be more productive and creative.

This is why I love the Chrome Extension Break Timer.

Noisli

Noisli is a really cool extension that will let you listen to sounds helping you to relax and be more productive. What I love is that you can create your own combos or use the preset created by Noisli.
