The past few weeks I have worked on a new morning routine. Basically the first 30 minutes of the day I am:

  • eating a healthy breakfast in the dining room (I used to eat at my computer or on the go)
  • setting intentions and get the motivation to workout and eat healthy during the day with my wellness DailyGreatness journal
  • doing yoga during 10-minutes in my office before starting to work on my blog and my photography business

Since I am making a list of videos to choose from every morning, I thought you might be interested in it too 😉

Why I like doing yoga in the morning

  • It helps me stretch first thing in the morning
  • My body is awake after the session
  • It helps me relax before starting the day
  • It forces me to have some me-time every day, and I need it!
  • My muscles are getting toned up (especially my arms, legs, and core)
  • It feels good to cross something off my list before even starting the day

What you need to start a morning yoga practice

  • A yoga mat (I keep mine in the office closet)
  • A yoga block if some movements are difficult (I use mine when my knee is bothering me during the child pose)
  • A computer or phone to watch the workout

This is bonkers….I’ve been in an exercise funk of late and last night an image in my minds eye popped up of the logo for a Yoga site I’m with… and low and behold today I receive your email! I’m now thinking ‘okay, 10 minutes is more than doable, why don’t I start here to get me moving again’. Might not be early, but tomorrow I am going to give it as good as a try I can and I’ll post how I get on – Maybe there truly are no coincidences! 🙂

You really should check Boho Beautiful’s channel, it’s extremely beautiful and well-designed! She has numerous pilates and yoga videos which can either work towards your daily exercise or towards your self-care/relaxation/deep stretch time! It’s such a wonderful channel, full of positive vibes, I really recommend it!

Thanks for that, the locations are indeed beautiful. If I ever get yoga ‘fitter’ I’ll be sure to try the classes, even the beginner routines look challenging. But still, a good resource to have. Ty 🙂

Hello! I’ve posted a little update on our FB group and I’m happy to report I did do a Yoga class the following day and I did another one today. Even from the 1st class to this one there’s a huge difference in ease.

It’s nice to read a first-hand experience of Yoga practice compared to one that’s simply a list of why it’s good. I got into it, I breathed, and it worked! I’m feeling pretty good right now and I want to, fingers-crossed, continue with it 🙂
