It’s that time of year again! The time when we think about all of our previous resolutions that lasted only two weeks. The time when we say this year is going to be different. The time when we make a list of new resolutions that we won’t follow…
You know what I’m talking about. You’ve been there too. Right?
Come on, how many times did you say:
- This year, I’m going to go to the gym 3 times a week
- No more pizza, burger and french fries
- I’m going to break up with Netflix
- Reading 30 books a year is a piece of cupcake
- Replace this sentence with your last year resolution
Let’s make 2017 the year of happiness and success.
Are you ready to organize, plan and Conquer 2017?
One of the first things you are going to need is a planner, so I put together a list of the best 2017 planners!
These planners are more than just a weekly or monthly calendar, they will keep track of your goals, inspire you, bring positivity and help you improve your business and yourself!
In conclusion, these planners are amazing.
2017 Volt Planner
First, I’m going to talk about the Volt Planner. I love this planner and have been using it in 2016.
My friend from Dirtie Dog Photography actually got it for me. We used to meet every week to talk about our photography business goals and the Volt Planner was perfect for it. Now, I also use it for my blog and life!
Every month I start with my goals like social media followers, a number of blog posts or photo shoots I want to accomplish. Then every week I make a list of the actions to make it happen!
Writing down a weekly list of tasks helps to be organized and stop procrastinating 😀 Instead of thinking about all the things I have to do and accomplish nothing because I don’t know where to start, I simply schedule my list items in the weekly outlook so I know what to do each day!
What I like about it:
- The velvet feeling of the cover
- The quality
- All the checklists!
- Monthly goals checklist
- 30-day challenge tracker
- Weekly writing prompts for personal development
- Weekly goals checklist
- Weekly outlook with blocks for morning, noon, and night
Find it on their website Ink + Volt.
Moleskine 2017 Planners
If you read my previous posts 5 reasons why you should start a diary and how to sleep when your mind is preoccupied, you already know that I keep a diary to write my thoughts every night before going to bed.
For this, I use a Moleskine daily planner.
I actually own a lot of Moleskine. I have notebooks, a small weekly planner to keep in my purse, and the daily planner that I use as a diary.

- The quality of the paper
- The options for the covers and planners
- The limited editions like Le Petit Prince, Peanuts, Batman, …
- The passion journals

Day Designer
Day Designer also offers beautiful and functional planners. They have 2 collections: the flagship collection as seen in the video and the A5 Luxe collection, which allows personalizing your planner by adding specific pages to it.
What I like about Day Designer:
- The choice of covers, 16 for the flagship and 5 for the A5 Luxe
- Free printable pages to test the planner
- Ideal month and week
- The core page
- The reality check page
- The plan and goals pages
- Daily quotes and gratitude
- To do list + daily schedule
Download the free daily planner to test it here!

December 12, 2016 at 2:39 pmThese are great tips! I always feel so stuck when deciding on planners and usually abandon them by February. Maybe that should be my New Years Resolution 🙂

December 12, 2016 at 4:55 pmI’m addicted to planners! I used Erin Condren for 2016, and I’ve decided to use a personal sized binder planner for 2017. I’m going to treat it like a bully journal. Love!

December 13, 2016 at 6:57 amMaybe my resolution should be to actually use my planner for the entire year, ahah! There are so many scheduling and organizing apps and docs available now, but I find them a little distracting. It’s hard to sit down and plan the day out when social media notifications, calls and emails keep interrupting on the same little phone screen! That’s why I’ll always prefer old-school planners, especially with so many cute options out there! I live the Day Designer best out of these ones, probably because it has space to identify three primary goals for the day. I keep a wall calendar with due dates, events, etc. but I could use a planner to work on self-improvement, physical and mental health kind of goals.

December 15, 2016 at 1:18 pmI love my Volt planner! I already have mine for 2017. I miss our weekly meetings. I think that we should start again in January because I love combining our creative minds! I also have my Weekly Lists book that you gave to me on my bedside table. It’s great for taking time to think about all the good things in life at the end of the day. Like awesome friends. 🙂 Love ya Julie!

Just yesterday my husband and I sat down and had a “meeting” about our blog and set out short term goals for January. We also set goals for the first quarter. It’s a start! August 30, 2017 at 7:41 pmHey Julie..nice write up! I’m hoping my new planner makes your next list. I’m a life/performance coach who converted a program I would run my clients through with amazing results into a planner called TRUE PATH. I’d love to send you one once produced so you can check it out… https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/truepath/true-path-the-planner-that-gives-you-purpose

November 5, 2017 at 2:37 pmI use the List It Planner and would highly recommend it. I love that it starts when you want it to – not just January or mid-year like most planners. I also love the multiple ‘to do’ lists and that I can see my week at a glance. I would definitely recommend them if you do a 2018 list! http://www.listitplanner.com
